More information
What should I wear?
Please wear clothes you do not mind getting clay on – it should wash out but it’s not a guarantee! We highly recommend trimming your nails, if you can’t trim your nails – do not worry we can work around this but it is a litter trickier, you will still have a great tine though!
Can I film the session?
We are more than happy to take short videos for you throughout the process so you can clip them together for yourself. However, please bear in mind there are other people in the session and the team are in their working environment and do not wished to be filmed the whole duration. Please respect this, and respect our team thank you.
Cancellation and refund
- 48 hour cancellation and refund policy – this includes group number changes.
- Your pots are ready to collect 1month after your throwing session for clear glaze, or they will be ready to paint after this time.
- Please collect within 1 month after your collection date, otherwise your pot will be donated to charity/recycled.
Glazing and firing
We try our best to ensure that the creative journey you take with us is fun and enjoyable. The final part of the journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery. Sadly this is not an exact science and the kiln is sometimes unpredictable. While we strive for perfection it doesn’t happen all the time, particularly as these are hand-produced crafts.
Glaze spotting can occur as well as things like brick dust on the items. Please be aware that although we try to control for these events it is not always possible. It can be the charm but also the frustration of working with ceramics. Sometimes, if we feel it is safe to do so, we will re-fire the pottery to try to fix glazing issues. In the unlikely event of your pottery breaking or cracking in the kiln we will of course offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.
