Please read these FAQ's and Terms and conditions before booking in!

When booking in you are Agreeing to the terms and conditions and acknowledging you have read the FAQ section.

How does it work?

Choose your activity via the BOOK IN page, after you have read the terms and conditions. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your chosen time slot, no earlier as we are a small shop.

You will have your allotted time to make your creations and then they will be fire and glazed for you, ready to collect 2 weeks later. If you are making you will either choose a clear glaze, fancy glaze or to return and paint. These timings can vary - please reference the CERAMIC COURSES page for reference.

How much does it cost?

For painting; it a £5 studio fee per painter + your chosen piece of pottery. You will pay £5pp on booking your table to confirm your place. Please note if you are there to support a painter and not paint yourself we ask that only is only 1 or 2 non painters per booking. Due to being such a small shop we hope you understand this.

Making packages vary in pricing. Please reference the CERAMIC COURSES page for pricing. There will be an additional price for a 'fancy glaze' or to 'return to paint'.

GLAZING AND FIRING

We try our best to ensure that the creative journey you take with us is fun and enjoyable. The final part of the journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery. Sadly this is not an exact science and the kiln is sometimes unpredictable. While we strive for perfection it doesn’t happen all the time, particularly as these are hand-produced crafts.
Glaze spotting can occur as well as things like brick dust on the items. Please be aware that although we try to control for these events it is not always possible. It can be the charm but also the frustration of working with ceramics. Sometimes, if we feel it is safe to do so, we will re-fire the pottery to try to fix glazing issues. In the unlikely event of your pottery breaking or cracking in the kiln we will of course offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.

I haven't completed a course - can I come to the open studios?

To qualify for open studios you need to have completed the 4 or 8 week pottery course. If you complete the 4 week course you will need to participate in a glazing class to be signed off on glazing your products.

If you are already an accomplished maker and you want to use the open studios, please get in touch or come visit me in the studio and we can discuss further options.

Can I return if I do not complete painting my piece of pottery?

Yes you are welcome to come again and complete your piece of pottery, however this will be an additional £5 per visit, and you will be encouraged to come back on an open evening or midweek to complete. If we have space on the weekend we will see if we can accommodate you.
